About the Program
EASY Care (EZC) is provided by the Eanes Independent School District through the Community Education Department. The EZC program, staffed by EISD employees, provides a high-quality childcare program for elementary school students in grades K-5th on-site at all six elementary school campuses. Care is from school dismissal to 6 PM including early release dates.
If your child is enrolled in Eanes After School Youth Care and you need to contact the staff at the Barton Creek, Bridge Point, Cedar Creek, Eanes ES, Forest Trail, and Valley View campuses, simply call 512-732-EASY (3279) and press the appropriate extension. This is the best way to update the campus staff about your child's schedule, reminders about after-school events, etc.
EASY Care provides after-school child care for elementary-school students in an active, indoor and outdoor setting that allows children to thrive, have fun, relax, and learn. The purpose of the program is to meet the needs of Eanes ISD students by providing quality after-school care for elementary-aged children at an affordable price. The goals of the program are to promote the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of the children who attend the program. The EASY Care program, staffed by Eanes ISD employees, provides a high quality, curriculum-based childcare and enrichment program for elementary school students in grades Kindergarten through fifth grade.
Daily schedules of organized, fun and safe activities are created for the program. By providing an atmosphere where children can develop a sense of independence and learn about self-care, we encourage child autonomy and encourage students to make responsible choices. This means that there are several activity centers from which we encourage your child to choose according to his or her interests. Each day, after snack time and homework time, we offer optional enrichment activities—which include activities tied to the weekly theme. On a daily basis, we play a variety of organized and free play games on the playground, fields, or gym. Once a week, we visit the computer lab to participate in supervised computer play. In addition, there is a movie once a week at each campus.
We do not allow students to bring electronics to EASY Care. All technology, including cell phones, should be left at home or in the child's backpack during EASY Care hours.

EASY Care Goals
Our goals are to provide and promote experiences that contribute to the social-emotional growth and development of healthy, intelligent, and empathetic students. We will provide a safe and nurturing atmosphere where children can develop a sense of independence and learn about responsible self-care. We try to encourage students to make mature choices whenever possible. This means that there are several activity centers and we encourage your child to choose between activities, according to their interests.
EZC offers monthly themes, special guests and indoor and outdoor play. The program's goals are to:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment where children can relax, explore and enjoy being young;
- Promote physical, social, emotional and cognitive development of the child;
- Provide experiences that contribute to the growth and development of healthy, intelligent, and productive members of society;
- Promote unique relationship, outside of the traditional school day, with staff, peers and parents, based on open and honest communication committed to respect and courtesy;
- Provide an atmosphere where children can develop a sense of independence and learn about responsibilities, self-care and autonomy.
